Who is Arcas Risk Management?

Introduction

If the previous two years have been a bit of a time warp, you are not alone. The past 24 months have been nothing short of an adventure for Arcas Risk Management. Our CEO, Robert Fitzgerald, started Arcas Risk Management at the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Some may have believed it unthinkable to start a business during this time. However, Robert had a vision to offer cybersecurity risk and compliance consulting services to the underserved small to mid-sized market.

Rather than focus on the types of services and products Arcas Risk Management offers, we want to shed light on the values and passions that have carried us through the challenges of the past two years and allowed Robert's vision to grow into a thriving business. Besides, isn’t it fun to look back and see how far you have come?

Logo and Getting Started

When Arcas Risk Management was started in the spring of 2020, the company consisted of only two employees and the owner, Robert. As in any start-up, an important first step was to inform the world that we existed. What better way to solidify our place as an authentic and trustworthy business than with a logo? Early options for a logo ran the gambit of standalone stylized fonts or typical technology business imagery.

Ultimately, utilizing a bear in the logo was decided. After all, Arcas was a king in Greek Mythology who was transformed into a bear and placed into the heavens as a constellation by Zeus. Some of our clients from the very early days may remember the first iterations of our bear logo.

The initial bear logo received some touch ups and evolved into the constellation bear that represents Arcas Risk Management today.

Values and Growth

During its short tenure, Arcas Risk Management has grown from a team of three to a team of fourteen. Achieving significant growth as a startup is no easy task. Much of the momentum of Arcas Risk Management has been rooted in word of mouth from clients and partners. The ability and drive to provide clients with service and products better than they thought to ask for is rooted in the core values of Arcas Risk Management.

Integrity

We are committed to recognizing what is right in order to do what is best for our customers and our company.

Collaboration

We are a team. We help and support each other. Recognizing one another's strengths is integral in solving complex problems.

Transparency

We pride ourselves on providing honest and open communication, and a willingness to share information even when it is uncomfortable to do so.

Ownership

We take the initiative to overcome obstacles, find solutions and deliver exceptional results. We also hold ourselves accountable for outcomes, good and bad.

Decisions made for client engagements, employee hiring, and product development are all rooted in the listed core values. Also, having these core values have served as a compass to direct us into the company we set out to be two years ago and will continue to guide us in the years to come.

Mission Statement and the Future

As Arcas Risk Management continues to scale as a business, a vision and mission statement became imperative to ensure that the entirety of our team was aimed in the same direction. Last month, the employees of Arcas Risk Management completed a collaborative effort to determine the mission and vision for the company. By allowing feedback from the entire fourteen-person team we can feel confident that the entire organization is bought-in and dedicated to the following mission and vision.

Mission

To help organizations of all sizes mitigate risk.

Vision

To be the industry leader in security , risk management, and compliance advisory services.

Mission Statement

We believe all organizations deserve cyber security protection to strengthen overall security posture and eliminate risk by bringing Wall Street caliber services to Main Street.

With our route mapped out and team aimed at the same goal, Arcas Risk Management is pleased to see the progress made but is even more excited about what the future has in store.
